I Have This Dream

This is a unreleased but finished version of a Michael Jackson song that I finished the words to, hired a vocalist and produced this version from a background music track written by Michael Jackson and David Foster. This was for a songwriting contest where Michael wanted a "We Are The World" feel for the lyric, and Michael provided the title "I Have This Dream" (similar to Martin Luther Kings "I Have a Dream" speech), and second line of the chorus. You can hear Michael singing in the chorus "I Have This Dream, this I believe". The proceeds were to be used for children's organizations around the world, unfortunately the contest fell apart and Michael's intent for the song unfulfilled. The opening words by Michael are from a public talk Michael made and I believe the passion in his words for all children of humanity are reflected in this song, and in wanting to heal the world.

"Archipelago" Album Progress

I've got about 13 tracks for my Brazilian Jazz CD, "Archipelago", (it may gain, lose or stay the same by one song, haven't decided yet). So far there is one cover," The Girl From Ipanema".  one co-written the rest are originals.

 

The basic tracks are coming along well (percussion &/drums, Acoustic Steel, Bass, reference vocals) and I am working on refining the lyrics (~70% there overall). My original goal was to have the album finished by July 2012, I still am hoping I can be close to that ETA, but my recent visit to China wasn't taken into consideration and I still don't have one of the guitars I plan on using on this project, so time will tell.   Bye for now, tk
